The North Jakarta City Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimko) held an environmental clean-up action in the Sunter Selatan Lake area, Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Tanjung Priok District.

North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat expressed his appreciation for the collaboration in ensuring cleanliness in the Sunter Lake area.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the Military Sea Crossing Command (Pangkolinlamil), Rear Admiral TNI Rudhi Aviantara added that the activity was not merely ceremonial, but was a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian Navy's commitment to preserving the environment as a legacy for future generations.
"A clean environment will provide many benefits, from preventing disease, reducing water pollution, to minimizing the potential for flooding in the surrounding area," he stated.
Rudhi explained that Sunter Lake is a strategic public space in North Jakarta with ecological and social functions. Therefore, the area's cleanliness and beauty must be continuously maintained to ensure it remains comfortable and beneficial to the community.
Simple steps such as sorting waste and reducing the use of single-use plastics are considered to have a major impact on environmental sustainability.
"Maintaining cleanliness is our shared responsibility," he added.
Rudhi expressed his appreciation to all joint personnel and parties involved in the activity.
